Description
The ultra-light Mini Manual umbrella is made of recycled polyester with the Unikko pattern. The compact umbrella has a manual telescopic handle and is small enough to fit in your handbag.
Unikko was created by Maija Isola in 1964 and has since become an international icon in pattern design. Marimekko founder Armi Ratia believed that it was not possible to capture the true expression of real flowers in prints in a natural way, which meant that floral patterns were previously not included in Marimekko's collections. Maija Isola therefore designed Unikko as an abstraction of a flower rather than a photorealistic depiction. Today, Unikko is a strong symbol of joy and creativity and a natural part of Marimekko's design identity.
