BiBo - The Bee Hotel

BiBo is a decorative bee hotel that offers a place for tree-dwelling solitary bees to rest and overwinter.

Solitary bees today have a hard time finding a place to overwinter, and this threatens to wipe out many of them. By hanging up the bee hotel, more bees are given a chance to survive the winter—and in return, your garden or balcony will bloom! Solitary bees are harmless to humans because their stingers are too weak to penetrate our skin.

There are currently about 290 bee species in Sweden, one-third of which are endangered. Solitary bees do not produce honey, but they pollinate large portions of our fruit trees and flowers, and are thus vital to our survival and that of other species.

Hang the bee house under the eaves of your house, on the balcony, or in a tree where it is protected from rain and wind.

BiBo is cut from a single piece of Swedish pine and produced in Sweden. The string is made of hemp. The bee house is finished with linseed oil paint. Great materials for great bees!
