Stockholm Lion S

Miniature of the now-classic Stockholm Lion that adorns several street intersections in downtown Stockholm and its suburbs.

Since 1995, large concrete lions have stood on Drottninggatan, at the intersections from Fredsgatan to Kungsgatan. They were created on the initiative of artist Anders Årfelt, who sculpted the original and is also the creator of the small lions, which are faithful replicas of the original. Designtorget has been selling them exclusively since spring 2016.

The miniatures are hand-cast from art casting compound. The compound has the same strength as concrete and contains only natural materials. The lions are available in two designs, and two different sizes of each: the larger one weighs approximately 1,075 grams and the smaller one approximately 350 grams.
