Burn in the carbon steel pan for a natural non-stick coating.
• The pan comes with a protective layer that prevents oxidation. First wash this off with hot water and dish soap.
• Make sure the pan is clean and dry.
• Rub a thin layer of cooking oil into the pan, heat the pan gradually up to high heat until it starts to smoke.
• Stir the pan in the meantime to distribute the oil evenly throughout the vessel.
• Set the pan aside and let it cool. Repeat the burn-in process a couple of times for best results. The frying pan should now have a dark, burnt surface with non-stick properties.
• Repeat the burn-in process if necessary after a period of use.Compatible with induction hobs, ceramic hobs, gas hobs, electric hobs. The pan can also be used in the oven and on the grill.
