Lisa’s ceramic lion is one of the most iconic figures she has created. It is always expected to be included at exhibitions in Japan. “A Masterpiece.” This design is used here on trays and napkins.
“Mom really wanted to make practical products,” says Johanna. “Serving trays and napkins were something she used herself every day. Her basic rule was that it had to be something she herself wanted to use.” “I don’t have time to grow old,” Lisa said at the age of 87. “I have so many ideas I want to bring to life.” Now her three children continue to cherish her memory and her rich archive of ideas.
Lisa Larson has passed away, but she is not gone. Since the 1950s, she has been active as a ceramicist, creating decorative art and hundreds of beloved figurines. For the past 15 years, she has collaborated with her daughter Johanna and developed a licensing business worldwide.
