Description
The Neat Crossbody M shoulder bag is made of recycled polyester in the Unikko pattern. The bag has an adjustable shoulder strap made of recycled polyamide. The bag has a zipper closure, a Marimekko label on the front and an open pocket on the inside where the entire bag can be folded for easy storage.
Unikko was created by Maija Isola in 1964 and has since become an international icon in pattern design. Marimekko founder Armi Ratia believed that it was not possible to faithfully capture the true nature of real flowers in prints, which is why floral patterns were previously not included in Marimekko's collections. Maija Isola therefore created Unikko as an abstraction of a flower rather than a photorealistic depiction. Today, Unikko is a strong symbol of joy and creativity and a natural part of Marimekko's design identity.
