Design House Stockholm, in collaboration with Astrid Lindgren AB, has launched a collection of mugs that celebrates Astrid’s magnificent storytelling and literary legacy. The text on the Astrid Stark Mug in red is a quote from Pippi Longstocking:
“Anyone who is very strong must also be very kind.”
The collection consists of nine different mugs in various colors, each featuring a different quote. We encounter thought-provoking phrases from Karlsson, Pippi, and Emil—but also from Astrid Lindgren herself. The quotes on the stoneware mugs are not printed but instead engraved to symbolize how Astrid’s words are now forever carved in stone. At the bottom of each mug, you’ll find a beautiful illustration, and the mugs come in lovely packaging that makes them just as fun to buy for yourself as for others. The mug is made of stoneware and is dishwasher and microwave safe.
