Marimekko

Marimekko is a world famous Finnish design company that specializes in fashion, bags and accessories as well as interior design. The company was started by Armi Ratia, who developed it into a leading textile design company during the 1950s and 1960s. The company's design patterns are found, in addition to textiles, on a number of other products, including porcelain and bags and are sold worldwide. Over the years, the company has collaborated with a number of successful designers such as Vuokko Nurmesniemi, Annika Rimala and Maija Isola.  In the heart of Marimekko's head office in Finland, the brand's own art form - Art of Prinmaking - has been practiced for over 65 years. In close cooperation with both Finnish and international designers, Marimekko owns its own printing technology.
