Shelf Pocket String Metal
String Pocket is a complete shelving package with two panels and three shelves. You can choose among a range of colours and materials. String Pocket can be combined in a host of ways. With one packet you get one shelf, with two packets you can build up to three sections.
The Swedish architect Nisse Strinning's classic shelving system was introduced as early as 1949, but is at least as popular today. It is definitely a Scandinavian design and storage icon. The shelf is perfect for storage of CDs, DVD movies or pocket books. It is also suitable for among others, storage over the work table, sewing storage or as a spice rack in the kitchen.

Allt började med en uppenbarelse och en tävling. 1949 insåg det ledande svenska förlaget Bonniers att människor troligen skulle köpa fler böcker om de hade någonstans att ställa dem. Med det i åtanke startade Bonniers en tävling för att hitta en hyllösning som var både prisvärd och lätt att frakta, montera och installera.

Nils “Nisse” Strinning, born December 8, 1917 in Kramfors, died May 10, 2006 was a Swedish architect and designer. Together with his wife, architect and designer Kajsa Strinning, born January 27 in Ytterlännäs, died December 20, 2017, Strinning became world famous through the bookshelf system Stringhyllan.
