Palle is a classic Scandinavian stool designed in the 50's by renowned architect Yngve Ekström for Swedish furniture brand Stolab. It is made from solid birch and has wooden legs which are screwed directly into the seat, which makes the stool extremely stable and versatile wherever you choose to use it.
Palle has features of Yngve Ekström's famed designs, the Arka lounge chair and the Windsor-style chair Pinnochio. Palle was designed in the 50's, an age when function was often combined with minimalistic design.
På Stolab har vi tillverkat möbler på samma plats i Smålandsstenar sedan 1907. Det har gett oss en värdefull skatt av kunskap som präglar hela vår verksamhet.

The architect Yngve Ekström is an excellent representative of the blonde Scandinavian design language. Together with colleagues such as Aalto, Mathsson, Jacobsen and Kjaerholm, Yngve Ekström helped making the concept “Scandinavian Modern” world known. In his most famous product, the Lamino chair (1956), he combined the tight with the light. The beautiful with the functional. And he did is so swell that the Lamino chair was appointed to the 20th century furniture in a vote made by the magazine Sköna Hem.Read more about Yngve Ekström
