Malin Jansson is educated in Norway, Australia and Gothenburg at HDK, where she obtained a master’s degree in ceramic art in 2004. Since then she has been living and working with her own studio in Malmö.
The motifs on Malin’s porcelain earrings and bracelets are her own illustrations and photographs and include, among other things, skyscrapers, power lines and trees. The technology is called decals and placed on the glazed surface, like a cheat tattoo, and burned at 800 degrees.
“I print new decals all the time but at the same time I can use decals that I did 15 years ago. The combination possibilities therefore become endless”.
In the past, Malin has sold heart-shaped salt and pepper holders, piggy banks and pots at Designtorget. For 3 years now, Malin works exclusively with jewellery, both in porcelain, silver and brass.
