Louise Hederström is educated at Beckmans Design University in Stockholm and has also studies at Lund University. She lets the material and graphic forms work closely with the functionality as a starting point for all her designs. Among other things, she is inspired by unexpected encounters in everyday life, nature, new technology, other cultures, music and material. The list is long; the short version is: What life has to offer. In the future, Louise would like to work with recycled textiles.
“The biggest challenge for a furniture designer today is to make furniture that has a great intrinsic value – and then I mean expression, function and environmental aspects so there is a reason to produce them”.
Louise has, among other things, designed products for the Swedish brand Maze, where creative designers create environmentally friendly and high-quality interior products that fit into modern homes or workplaces.
